Wiltshire housing PFI project achieves financial close

Monday, 16 January 2012

Following hot on the heels of financial close on the Oldham PFI project at the end of November 2011, the Wiltshire housing PFI project successfully achieved financial close on 21st December 2011.

Devonshires' Projects, Banking and Employment teams acted for Sarsen Housing Association in their capacities as Facilities Maintenance Contractor, Housing Management Contractor and Landlord on this project. The Devonshires team was led by Paul Buckland and included Elen Storey, Caroline Mostowfi and Gareth Hall.

The project will involve the construction of over two hundred and forty new affordable homes in Wiltshire together with the possibility of a second phase involving a further one hundred new homes. Wiltshire Council entered into the contract for the project with the Silbury Housing consortium which is wholly owned by Sarsen Housing Association. Persimmon Homes will construct the new homes and, once built, they will be managed and maintained by Sarsen Housing Association.
