Katie is a Solicitor in the Employment Department and regularly advises clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issue. She is regularly involved in defending employment tribunal claims for unfair dismissal or wrongful dismissal and discrimination as well as claims brought in the county court for unlawful deduction of wages. She also regularly reviews and updates employment policies and contracts and undertakes training for clients.
Katie also specialises in pensions and has expertise in advising clients on issues arising under the LGPS, SHPS, the NHS Pension Scheme and the Teachers Pension Scheme, as well as transactional experience in guiding employers through TUPE related employment and pension issues in relation to outsourcing contracts and mergers.
