Nick Grant

Nick is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and specialises in medical negligence and personal injury claims. He joined the firm in 2003 and has worked to build up the firm's personal injury team during which time the damages awarded to clients has been in the millions. He has acted for both claimants and defendants.

More recently, Nick has established a new and growing medical negligence team and supervises its day-to-day running.

Nick has over 12 years experience in dealing with both Personal injury and Medical Negligence claims.  He has dealt with a wide variety of complex, high value claims including birth injuries, obstetric care, Orthopedics, negligent surgery, delays and failures in diagnosis, fatal accidents, work related diseases and work related accidents.

Nick also advises The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormon Church) on ecclesiastical and a wide variety of charity and other legal matters.

Notable cases in which Nick has been involved include:

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints -v- Price (30/11/2004) High Court - Protection From Harassment Act 1997, Human Rights Act 1998, telephone calls, private nuisance, right to freedom of religion.
  • James Gallagher (Valuation Officer) -v- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2008) HL - Rating exemption for religious properties, discrimination.

Nick is currently assisting a client to take a matter to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasburg.

Nick has lectured on personal injury, clinical negligence and charity law and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
