Areas of Expertise
Nikki’s practice has two main areas of focus.
Dispute Resolution

She regularly conducts complex fraud investigations, obtains/resists interlocutory injunctions and then runs the subsequent court proceedings, as well as engaging with regulators, insurers and other stakeholders in relation to these issues.
Reputation management, including engaging with in-house communications teams and external PR, advising on defamation and malicious communications, and handling negative press is often a feature of the work she carries out.
Inquests, Judicial Review and Public Law
Nikki is very experienced at judicial review and public law cases and has over ten years’ experience in cases arising from the justice sector. Cases of this nature often involve consideration of human rights law and equality legislation.
Nikki has extensive experience in inquests, including long-running proceedings involving several properly interested parties, dozens of witnesses, significant disputes as to facts, disclosure issues and risk of potential future police investigations or prosecutions. As part of her inquest expertise Nikki is adept at advising on vulnerable witnesses, special measures, public interest immunity and judicial review challenges.
