Our LandlordPLUS service has been set up specifically for the needs of registered providers (RP’s) offering tenancies in the private rented sector.
Operating as part of our Housing Management & Property Litigation Team, the LandlordPLUS Service offers our clients the benefit of our considerable experience acting for over 450 RPs, local authorities and private landlords.
The team, one of the largest in England and Wales, consists of over 50 specialist lawyers who have a wealth of expertise and proven ability in this field.
The team understands the need for a fast and efficient service. We know you want solutions rather than the law and that is what we provide. We understand that in letting and managing properties for market rent, you require a tailored service that provides transparent fees together with an understanding of the specific issues of managing these tenancies such as tenancy deposit handling.
The LandlordPLUS Service is there every step of the way from tenancy set up to termination and beyond.
The service includes:
- Preparation of tenancy agreements & notices
- A fixed fee tenancy agreement and notice drafting service where we will work with you to produce standard documentation that mirrors your house style whilst ensuring adherence to all legal formalities.
- We can also provide more bespoke drafting services depending on your requirements.
Possession claims
We offer a fixed fee possession service for all standard possession claims offering you certainty of cost and swift turnaround.
Non-standard possession claims
Our considerable experience in provision of housing management services means that we are well equipped to help evidence any grounds for possession and non-standard action, be it claims for possession based on breach of tenancy or antisocial behaviour, and responding to counterclaims for disrepair or defences to possession claims based on discrimination.
Rent increases
If contractual mechanisms for increasing rents are removed as promised in the White Paper published on 16 June 2022, we have years of experience in advising clients on how to adhere to the requirements of s13 Housing Act 1988 rent increase notices and can offer a checking and advice service to ensure rent increase notices comply with the current statutory requirements.
Advice and assistance
We offer a dedicated and free advice line and are able to offer clear accessible advice on a range of issues including tenancy deposit handling, access for gas servicing and dealing with trespassers.
Debt recovery
We offer a full fixed fee service for recovery of former tenant arrears and associated debts.
