Our team has extensive knowledge in relation to all aspects of health & safety and property compliance.  We have years of experience advising clients on their legal duties, how to achieve regulatory compliance, Board reporting and health & safety management options. We also have a wealth of experience dealing with investigations by regulators where an incident does occur and advising in relation to criminal proceedings and the coronial process.  Our team of experts help clients to navigate the legal complexities and ensure they understand their legal obligations in relation to their buildings as well as offering clear and structured guidance should a health & safety incident occur.

• High profile fires in residential buildings across England (not limited to London and the South East);
• The operation of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and subordinate legislation such as the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
• The operation of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related secondary legislation, and the new fire safety regime under the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022; and
• Complex matters involving serious accidents and fatalities in the construction and maintenance sector.
• Acting on substantial health & safety portfolios for the largest housing providers registered in England
• Providing disaster and crisis management response where an incident has occurred, including:
  • Immediate advice on safeguarding property, residents and the public;
  • Managing a media response;
  • Managing stakeholders including residents, building owners, the Board; and
  • Managing and liaising with regulators including the Regulator of Social Housing, Health & Safety Executive, Police, local fire & rescue service and Local Authorities.
