Jonathan graduated from Lancaster University with a BA in History and Politics before completing his CPE and LPC at the College of Law.

Jonathan advises on a wide range of specialisms within the social housing sector; from joint ventures to stock transfers, mergers to regeneration projects. His knowledge encompasses both Local Authority housing law as well as that which applies to the voluntary sector.
Prior to Devonshires Solicitors, Jonathan spent 15 years at Trowers & Hamlins LLP during which time he specialised in LSVTs and advised Homes & Communities Agency on a number of their investment programmes.
Jonathan regularly provides comments to Inside Housing on topical issues, particularly in the context of Local Authorities and the establishment of housing companies.
Jonathan has three young children who keep him busy most weekends. Any spare time is taken up trying to improve his tennis and golf or lamenting over another Sunderland AFC programme.
Jonathan recently advised Trafford Housing Trust on its regeneration project in Trafford, comprising of an 80 unit extra care scheme, together with community and retail accommodation.
Jonathan advised Thames Valley Housing Association in relation to its £40 million loan facility from LGIM.
Jonathan is currently advising Acis Group in connection with its proposed participation in a joint venture to provide facilities management services for student accommodation.
He advised on the recent merger between City South Manchester of Eastlands and is advising Seren and Gwalia on their proposed partnership
