Michael is a specialist in commercial disputes and arbitrations, often with an international element. He has particular experience in professional indemnity and public liability insurance, acting for both underwriters and insureds on policy coverage, subrogated claims, and for insureds resisting claims against them. Michael also has experience in general commercial litigation, damages claims arising from cartel activity, construction disputes, product liability claims, serious fraud, and regulatory matters.
Before joining Devonshires, Michael worked for US law firm Steptoe & Johnson where he was a senior associate. He has acted in high profile cases including Emerald Supplies v British Airways and Microsoft Mobile OY v Sony Europe and others.
Prior to that, Michael worked as a solicitor in Devonshires Litigation and Dispute Resolution team for three years from 2004-2007.
