Areas of Expertise

Rachel works in the successful Securitisation Team advising Registered Providers on a range of financial arrangements including bond issues, private placements and revolving credit facilities ranging from £1 million to £500 million. Rachel also acts for a number of Registered Providers in the release and substitution of security, the re-allocation of security, and obtaining uplift in value of ex-LSVT stock.

Prior to Devonshires, Rachel worked in the Residential Department of a high street firm in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Prior to Rachel studying Law and becoming a Solicitor, she ran a successful business in the pub and restaurant industry.

Rachel graduated from Middlesex University with a BA(Hons) and MA in Criminology, before completing her CPE at Middlesex University and LPC at Anglia Ruskin University.

Rachel enjoys gardening, decorating, jigsaw puzzles and cooking in her spare time. She also enjoys travelling.

Notable Cases

Rachel acted for Clarion Housing Group Limited on the charging of 4,236 properties to their CTL NAB Pool and obtaining an uplift in value of their LSVT properties, the uplift in value of 9,978 properties to their CTL NAB Pool and the uplift in value of 2,465 properties to their Bond facility which achieved an uplift in value of over £1 billion.

Rachel advised on the charging of 5,486 properties, which all required new Certificates of Title, for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in relation to the launch of their £2.5 billion EMTN Programme and continues to act for London & Quadrant Housing Trust on charging properties to their £2.5 billion EMTN Programme.

Rachel acted for Richmond Housing Partnership Limited in de-allocating 650 properties from RBS and re-allocating to NatWest and charging 1,920 properties to Lloyds.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust on de-allocating 75 properties from National Australia Bank and re-allocating to Royal Bank of Canada and de-allocating 181 properties from MUFG and re-allocating to Santander.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in charging a further 1,010 units to their £2.5 billion EMTN Programme and continues to act for London & Quadrant Housing Trust on charging properties to their £2.5 billion EMTN Programme.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in reallocating 181 properties from MUFG to Santander and charging a further 183 properties to Santander.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in their HSBC Security Review consisting of 3,122 properties, their Natwest Security Review consisting of 2,440 properties and their Lloyds Security Review consisting of 3,287 units.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in charging 251 properties to RBC.

Rachel acted for London & Quadrant Housing Trust in charging 84 properties to SMBC.

Rachel is advising Anchor Hanover Group in getting 4,657 properties ready for charging and charging 330 units to their Private Placement Facility.
