Devonshires has been based in the City of London for more than 150 years. In addition to our office in the City, we have offices in Leeds, Birmingham and Colchester. We are recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK as a medium sized niche firm, specialising in litigation & dispute resolution, banking, corporate & commercial, construction, employment, housing, real estate, projects, and property development.
The foundation of our success is our focus on people, both our clients and our employees. Our roots are in social housing, having provided practical advice to the social housing sector since the early 1970s and we are ranked as a leading firm in this area. On the non-housing side, we represent large banks and financial institutions, international and national companies (from start-ups to some of the largest), insurance underwriters and brokers, regulators, insolvency practitioners, professional service providers, politicians, and individuals.
Over the past few years, we have grown significantly and now have over 350 employees. We work hard at maintaining a non-hierarchical, open-door environment so our colleagues enjoy coming to work.

Living Wage Employer
Devonshires is accredited as a Living Wage Employer.
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the Government minimum.

As such all applicants, employees, partners and third parties who come into contact with us, will receive equal treatment, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We welcome all applications.
For this reason, we ask that all candidates complete the recruitment monitoring survey in complete confidence for statistical purposes in order to effectively monitor how well our Diversity procedures are working.
