Devonshires acting for Holmes Investment Properties Plc

Devonshires are delighted to be acting for Holmes Investment Properties Plc (HIP) in relation to the proposed redevelopment of Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club.

The redevelopment of Stanley Park Golf Club represents a very exciting opportunity to build the UK’s first Adrenalin World attraction on the site. Adrenalin World is the brainchild of former tennis star, David Lloyd, who has signed an exclusive agreement with HIP’s wholly-owned subsidiary, UKAP. HIP/UKAP will look to source, secure and develop a total of 10 Adrenalin World sites over the next 4-5 years across the UK.

Adrenalin World will offer a range of more than 20 indoor and outdoor activities including themed mini-golf, climbing, virtual reality, go-karting and other exciting activities for the whole family.  The redevelopment will include 250 holiday lodges and will create more than 100 jobs for the local community. The golf course will be retained but reduced to 9 holes to make space for the redevelopment.

Blackpool Council has been running the course since October 2018 when it closed suddenly after the operator went into voluntary liquidation. The investment by HIP/UKAP will guarantee the future of the site.

Devonshires attended the kick-off meeting with HIP and Blackpool Council on 9 September 2019 to advance the proposal for this exciting opportunity.

David Pack and James Lyons act for HIP Plc.
