We are delighted to have advised Look Ahead Care and Support Limited on its recent successful acquisition of Kingswood Care Services Limited, which operates five residential care services in Essex specialising in supporting people with learning disabilities.
Look Ahead, a charitable housing association currently supporting over 6,500 individuals every year, delivers over 20 specialist services for people with learning disabilities, including those with high and complex needs. This includes residential care, supported living and community based services.
Chris Hampson, Chief Executive at Look Ahead says “The acquisition of Kingswood is a key part of Look Ahead’s long term growth strategy which will allow us to support more people across London and the South East. Essex is a new geographical area for Look Ahead for the provision of learning disability services and we look forward to developing close relationships with customers, their families and commissioners. We are very grateful to the Devonshires team for their continued dedicated support and advice to help bring this latest acquisition to a successful conclusion during what continues to be a challenging time in the care sector.”
James Lyons, Corporate Partner, led the Devonshires team on the transaction with support from Real Estate Partner Caroline Mostowfi and solicitor Alex Benion.
Commenting on the matter, James said “It was a pleasure to work with Look Ahead on this successful acquisition. This is the second acquisition Look Ahead has undertaken in the learning disabilities sector in the past 12 months, and we are pleased to assist their continued growth in providing specialist care and learning disability services across London and the South East.”
