In light of the unprecedented current climate, most care providers will have navigated as best they can through the unique challenges the last couple of months have brought. We will also be on hand to provide our thoughts on the range of legal issues that have been recently engaged in the care sector, from furloughing employees through to CQC regulation.
We will also be on hand to provide our thoughts on the range of legal issues that have been recently engaged in the care sector, from furloughing employees through to CQC regulation.
We will begin with a brief presentation followed by a discussion and informal Q&A to allow thought on the short to medium term future of the care services you provide.
This will be an informal discussion on topical issues, including our thoughts on what could be on the legal horizon for care providers in the future. To ensure you benefit from the session, please submit any questions when registering and we will ensure they are answered.
The session will be facilitated by Partners from the Devonshires Care Group and Paul Spencer, Barrister, Serjeants Inn Chambers. Paul is a regulatory specialist who regularly represents NHS Trusts, Independent providers, healthcare professionals and others. Paul has acted for Core participants in most of the key inquiries over the last 10 years. He led the legal team at Public Health England at the Mid Staffs Inquiry and represented clients at the Deepcut and Hillsborough inquests. He has advised and acted for the CQC for many years and has insight into the types of enforcement action the regulator takes.
