Workshop 2: How to Reduce Risk Through Better Information Management: Design Risk Management

BIM in Housing was established in 2018 as an interactive workshop that brings together developers/owners from Local Authorities, Housing Associations and their supply chains to understand the issues they are encountering, how Better Information Management (BIM) can help and provide practical tips and advice.

Join this Design Risk Management Workshop, providing real life scenarios to be discussed at the roundtable session hosted by Andrew de Silva ‘Das’ – David Miller Architects

Hear Ye, Hear Ye … gather round and help divine what information will be required to satisfy the Safety Case by joining……King BIM d’Risk and becoming a Knight of the Round Table; supporting the Quest to see Dame Judith Hackett’s Golden Thread making safe the Tallest Towers of the Realm.

We invite attendees to join this interactive roundtable workshop, focusing on identifying:

  • Life safety risks: fire, health, structural;
  • Property protection risks: water leaks, security, lifts and;
  • Risks to occupation: heating & electricity failure.
The discussion will focus each of these three topics from a design perspective led by Andrew de Silva ‘Das’. The workshop will cover how those risks might be designed out and, where that isn’t possible, how designers and contractors can ensure the information that is required by the operations team to D’Risk the schemes.

Who should attend:

This session will be relevant to the Asset Management teams, Design teams, Construction Managers, Development Managers, Compliance Managers.

This event is free of charge, hosted by Airey Miller, Devonshires, David Miller Architects and Activeplan as part of the How to Reduce Risk Through Better Information Management Webinar and Workshops.
