Reducing risk and improving outcomes with BIM

Following the Grenfell tragedy last year, the Hackett Report promotes the use of Building Information Modelling to improve “transparency and integrity of information” so that an effective log of design information and products can be collated before occupation of a building. Dame Judith Hackett talks specifically about the “Golden Thread of Information” which should exist throughout a buildings life cycle. During this seminar the speakers will explain what BIM is and how it can be delivered, outline the benefits of BIM for Clients, and provide an overview of the legal considerations when planning a scheme. This seminar aims to provide a practical guide to BIM and how it can be implemented on your schemes.

Topics Covered:

• Asset data capture and management
• How BIM operates
• ActivePlan BIM Level 2
• Practical Delivery (DMA)
• Legal issues
