Briefing note for clients: External insulation and cladding in buildings over 18 metres

In light of recent events we understand our clients will be concerned about the legal and fire-safety status of recently refurbished and over-clad properties and the potential risk presented by the means of construction and material used.

The law requires Landlords to ensure insofar as is reasonably practicable that their residents and visitors are not exposed to a risk to their the health and safety. This includes the risk of harm from fire.

To help our clients in their assessment of the facts we have prepared a briefing note which gives a brief summary of the current legal requirements in respect of the fire safety measures applicable to external insulation systems in buildings over 18 metres in height.

Please contact Sara Marshall for a full copy of our briefing note.
