Consultation launched for notice periods for converted standard contracts under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016

Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016: implementation date postponed
On 30 May 2022 the Welsh Government announced that they would be postponing the implementation of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 (the Act) until 1 December 2022. The implementation date will no longer be 15 July 2022.
Welsh Housing Quality Standard 2023: Consultation Commences
The Welsh Government has recently launched a consultation for a new quality standard aimed at improving conditions of social housing in Wales. The Welsh Housing Quality Standard 2023 (‘WHQS 2023’) will apply to all Registered Social Landlords and Local Housing Authorities.
