Devonshires further expands Real Estate and Projects team

Devonshires appoints development and regeneration specialist, Hannah Langford, to their growing Real Estate and Projects team.

Joining from Clarke Willmott, Hannah brings more than 10 years’ property and planning experience to Devonshires. Hannah’s focus will predominantly be on Registered Provider development with a particular focus on planning, regeneration, and merger due diligence.

Prior to Clarke Willmott, Hannah was an in-house lawyer at Clarion Housing, one of the UK’s largest social housing providers. She is currently a Board Member for Golding Homes, a housing association based in Kent. Hannah has also previously worked in-house at a number of local authorities including Medway Council, Sevenoaks District Council, and Newham Council.

Hannah specialises in development and regeneration schemes including site assembly, joint ventures, section 106 acquisitions, and regeneration projects. One of her key strengths lies in her understanding of client’s governance and regulatory obligations. Hannah will also provide property support to our Banking, Governance and Corporate team in relation to mergers.

Paul Buckland, Partner and Head of Real Estate & Projects said: “Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge to Devonshires, specifically in relation to development and regeneration. Hannah’s expertise also further reinforces our planning offering to our public and private sector clients, as does her experience working in-house and in private practice. Her appointment underlines our commitment to investing in our team and will benefit our housing association, public sector, private developer and commercial clients as well as supporting our overall housing and regeneration offering.”

Hannah added: “I am delighted to be joining Devonshires growing team and helping the firm further strengthen its market position and brand awareness.”

Hannah started at Devonshires on 2 September 2019, and her appointment will bring the total number of partners in the Real Estate and Projects team to 11.
