Devonshires recognised for environmental sustainability

For the third year in a row, Devonshires has been awarded with a Gold Award with Special Commendation under the Clean City Awards Scheme (CCAS).

The ceremony took place at Mansion House on 25 January 2019. Charlotte Benson-Goring and William O’Brien attended on behalf of the firm. The CCAS scheme has been run by the Corporation of the City of London for over twenty years and Devonshires has participated for many years. The scheme promotes best practice in waste management and environmental initiatives which seek to reduce the impact of organisations located in the City of London.

The Gold Award with Special Commendation indicates that Devonshires is exceeding the standards required by the scheme and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to the environment. The highlight of 2018 was the distribution of reusable filtered bottles for all staff in an attempt to eliminate the use of disposable plastic cups for drinking water, which has been a resounding success. Efforts by the facilities team have also seen improvements in our waste management practices.
