The Regulator of Social Housing has now issued its Consultation on a new Rent Standard from 2020.

Subject to the outcome of the Consultation, we now have a pretty good idea of the detail of rent regulation when the annual 1% rent reduction finishes next April (for most providers).

This Breakfast Briefing, run by our Head of Housing Management & Property Litigation, Nick Billingham, will take you through the new rent framework and the issues raised in the current Consultation.

Topics Covered

  • The New Rent Standard 2020
  • What it means in practice for rent increases and rent-setting
  • Practical examples
  • Issues raised by the Consultation
  • What you should be doing

Objectives

To makes those RP staff responsible for rent-setting to prepare for the transition to the new rent regime ahead of next April
