Complaints handling for registered providers: the new regime and what you need to do

Back by popular demand! We are delighted to be running an additional webinar on complaints handling for registered providers.

In July this year the Housing Ombudsman published its new Complaints Handling Code. Landlords must self-assess against the Code by December this year and new complaint handling “failure orders” come into force next January. In this webinar, we will steer you through the practical effects of the Code and what RPs should be doing to comply. We will also look at the new Memorandum of Understanding between the Ombudsman and the Regulator which is set to increase regulatory oversight of the performance of RPs in relation to complaints resolution. As always, delegates will have the opportunity to put questions to our speakers during the webinar.

Your Speakers:

Nick Billingham and Donna McCarthy are both partners in our Housing Management and Property Litigation Team. Together they have many years of experience in assisting RPs in dealing with complaints (both genuine and vexatious) across the full range of housing management issues, and assisting with referrals to, and appeals against, the Ombudsman.
