With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, much of the case law and legal updates in recent months have focused on changes brought about as a result of this. This session offers a roundup of key housing management cases over the last 6 months including a recent decision on gas safety certificates and Section 21 Notices, determining fixed term tenancies, and a Court of Appeal decision on the Public Sector Equality Duty to name a few.

About the speakers:

Rebecca Brady, Chartered Legal Executive, Housing Management & Property Litigation

Rebecca advises and accepts instructions from Local Authorities and Registered Providers on all aspects of housing and tenancy management, including possession claims and injunction applications based on a wide range of issues such as Anti-Social Behaviour, tenancy fraud, sub-letting, rent arrears, access issues and other breaches of tenancy. Rebecca also advises on disrepair, service charge disputes and general property litigation in both the County Court and the First-tier Property Tribunal.

Beatrice Gallivan, Solicitor, Housing Management & Property Litigation

Beatrice advises on all aspects of Housing Management litigation, including bringing actions for nuisance such as possession proceedings and Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions, as well as claims for disrepair, unlawful sub-letting, non-occupation and succession.
