For many organisations, redundancies are an unfortunate effect of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is important for the organisation and the people that a redundancy process is done right. Recent statistics show that unfortunately this is not always the outcome. For example a recent Citizens Advice Bureau report suggest that parents, carers and disabled employees were up to twice as likely to be at risk of redundancy as the rest of the population, which implies that redundancy can be mis-identified as the reason for termination and/or that selection criteria are not applied in a non-discriminatory manner. In this part of our how to run a redundancy webinar series we will focus on redeployment.
Topics covered by the mini-series
