New Consumer Standards (Part 1)

We will provide an overview of the new Consumer Standards issued on 29th February looking in particular at what the key changes are to the current and draft standards and priority areas to be focussing on for 1st April.


Kathryn Kligerman, Partner, Construction

Kathryn has experience in contentious and non-contentious aspects of the construction industry in both the public and private sectors. She regularly drafts and negotiates bespoke contracts for clients as well as amendments to the standard forms such as the JCT and NEC suits. Kathryn also advises on the merits of construction disputes and represents clients in adjudication, meditation, expert determination and litigation.

Samantha Grix, Partner, Housing Management & Property Litigation

Samantha advises Private Registered Providers and Local Authorities across a spectrum of matters affecting the social housing sector including Housing Management and and has specialist knowledge of rent regulation.

Gemma Bell, Partner, Banking, Governance & Corporate

Gemma advises on a range of areas including social housing regulatory, charity law, governance, company and community benefit society law, corporate restructuring projects, joint ventures, stock transfers and mergers and acquisitions.

Gemma acts for a range of clients nationally including housing associations, local authorities, charities and social enterprises.

Matthew Waters, Partner, Banking, Governance & Corporate

Matthew works with organisations across the housing sector – registered providers, funders / investors, local authorities and developers – on a broad range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

On the transactional side this includes structuring of investment / funding models, joint ventures, corporate group structuring, public / private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. Advisory work includes new registrations, regulatory compliance, governance, subsidy control, grant and HRA matters.
