Where are we with the Courts – 2021 Update

In this Webinar we will provide a reminder on the current position regarding notice requirements on statutory grounds for possession, the overall arrangements for possession claims, and the current temporary stay on evictions. We will also reflect on how the Courts have been prioritising and processing claims since the stay on possession proceedings was lifted on 21 September 2020.

About the Speakers:

Rebecca Brady, Chartered Legal Executive, Housing Management & Property Litigation

Rebecca advises and accepts instructions from Local Authorities and Registered Providers on all aspects of housing and tenancy management, including possession claims and injunction applications based on a wide range of issues such as Anti-Social Behaviour, tenancy fraud, sub-letting, rent arrears, access issues and other breaches of tenancy. Rebecca also advises on disrepair, service charge disputes and general property litigation in both the County Court and the First-tier Property Tribunal.

Ayesha Herath, Paralegal, Housing Management & Property Litigation

Ayesha assists on a range of matters including possession claims, anti-social behaviour and unauthorised occupation. Ayesha has previous experience in providing advice and assistance to those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
