Devonshires strengthens Corporate and Governance team with new Partner hire


Housing specialist Matthew Waters has joined our Corporate & Governance team.

Matthew, who has 17 years of experience, joins from Bevan Brittan and will work closely with our Head of Social Housing, Andrew Cowan.

Matthew works with organisations across the housing sector including local authorities, registered providers, developers, contractors, and funders on a broad range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

Matthew brings experience in corporate structuring, joint ventures, group reorganisations, estate regeneration, public and private partnerships for large-scale housing and regeneration projects, structuring of development deals, and funding.

His advisory work includes supporting local authorities on the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and wider housing regulatory matters, and registered providers on corporate and governance matters.
