Where a tenant sublets their home, under the Prevention of Social Housing Fraud Act 2013, landlords can seek an Unlawful Profit Order. Such Order will require the tenant to pay the landlord an amount representing the profit they have made from subletting their home.
Vicky Smith and Rebecca Brady will give a short overview of the law relating to Unlawful Profit Orders. They will take you through the process of applying for an Unlawful Profit Order, both within possession proceedings and as a stand-alone claim. They will highlight some key cases before an extended period for participant questions and interaction on the subject.
