HR professionals won’t need statistics to tell them that long-term absence is on the increase, and that changes within the Registered Provider sector have the potential to increase the number of cases of absence due to mental health conditions.
This session will look at what employers can do to prevent cases of long-term absence arising, and how to manage those which do, including where the absence is due to a disability. We will look at the legal pitfalls that can befall an employer trying to balance being sympathetic towards an employee who is ill through no fault of their own with ensuring that operational delivery and other colleagues are not adversely impacted.
