In recent months, the Housing Ombudsman has been busy publishing both its investigation reports on individual cases and guidance on Housing Conditions Claims.
Upon publishing its reports, the Ombudsman has commented that “Our investigations are a critical tool for learning. Our casebook provides essential knowledge, helping landlords to improve performance and services.”
We will be considering the recent guidance and reports, looking at decisions relating to both the original substantive complaint, along with findings of maladministration. We will be taking you through some published cases which may provide helpful lessons for service improvement within various situations, including cases of anti-social behaviour and repairs.
