Jonathan advises on a wide range of specialisms within the social housing sector; from governance and regulation to joint ventures and stock transfers, mergers to regeneration projects. His knowledge encompasses both Local Authority housing law as well as that which applies to the voluntary sector.
Prior to Devonshires Solicitors, Jonathan spent 15 years at Trowers & Hamlins LLP during which time he specialised in LSVTs, NHS LIFT and housing PFI projects and advised Homes England on a number of their investment programmes.
Jonathan regularly provides comments to Inside Housing on topical issues, particularly in the context of Local Authorities and the establishment of housing companies.
Jonathan is ranked in Chambers and Partners for Social Housing.

Jonathan graduated from Lancaster University with a BA in History and Politics before completing his CPE and LPC at the College of Law.
Jonathan has three children who keep him busy most weekends. Any spare time is taken up trying to improve his tennis and golf or lamenting over another Sunderland AFC defeat.
