Ben acts for Registered Providers (both not-for-profit and for-profit) on a wide variety of work, arising mainly out of land and development projects, including disposal and acquisition, finance/security, planning and infrastructure.
Ben has worked with a leading fund manager with regard to their leaseback model for investment in rented and shared ownership housing portfolios.
Ben has also advised providers on stock transfer and similar ‘exit’ transactions involving the disposal of newly delivered stock, including related governance, regulatory, charity and vires issues.
Ben has previously worked at Winckworth Sherwood, Lewis Silkin and Sharratts as a Solicitor/Partner specialising in property and development prior to joining Devonshires. Ben has been a board member of a Hertfordshire based Registered Provider and a school governor.

Outside of work, Ben has a busy family life, in mid-Sussex, with his wife and four children. He enjoys trips with his dog to the nearby south downs and the coast, music (choral singing), cycling and (only very occasionally!) golf.
