A little known fact is that Elad is a qualified Ju Jitsu instructor who has previously won a gold medal at a national competition. Elad recently semi-retired from teaching his club to concentrate more on his golf swing, which to date is still in need of practice.

Elad is also a qualified scuba diver and an avid traveller, having recently been to Bali, Thailand, Cambodia, Mauritius and Cape Town.

Notable Cases

Elad advised and led in the acquisition of a large number of tenanted units from three separate Registered Providers including the simultaneous charging of those units to an institutional lender for a Registered Provider who had yet to own any property stock.

Elad acted for a newly formed Registered Provider parent company in an intergroup transfer of all of their Registered Provider subsidiaries’ housing stock including dealing with and resolving issues with both the HCA and GLA in respect of the transfer of grant debt from an Ex-RSL to a new Registered Provider, which was deemed a relevant event for the purposes of the capital funding guide.

Elad acted for and led in the entering into of a land contract and development agreement for a G15 Registered Provider for the construction and delivery of over 140 affordable housing units over an number of phases for a land and build cost of in excess of £40 million.

Elad acted and led on a number of tenanted stock rationalisation programmes for many Registered Providers including stock swaps, a number of which included complex overage provisions; the entering into of a management lease and management agreements; and novations of a number of existing contracts and deferred completions. The total net worth of the value of the stock transferred in recent transactions is estimated to be well in excess of £100 million.
