Areas of Expertise

Georgia is a Trainee Solicitor in our Property Litigation and Housing Management team. She assists with a variety of housing related matters including anti-social behaviour injunctions, possession proceedings and breach of lease issues.

Georgia also works closely with our Information Team to advise our clients in relation to a range of data protection issues such as subject access requests, data breach claims and drone advice.


Experience

Prior to commencing her training contract, Georgia worked as a Paralegal in our Construction, Engineering & Procurement team. In this team, she regularly advised clients on the merits of construction disputes relating to fire safety defects, water ingress and insurance claims.

Before joining Devonshires, Georgia took on work in the Kent Law Clinic working on immigration and employment cases, assisting with disability discrimination issues and family visa applications.

Personal

Away from the office, Georgia enjoys travelling and getting stuck into activities such as darts, axe-throwing and tree-top climbing with her friends. Her next goal is to handglide over Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

Notable Cases

During her seat with our Real Estate and Projects team, Georgia assisted the team with the planning of the Blackbird Leys district centre redevelopment which will soon see 294 new affordable homes delivered across two phases.

While in our Construction team, Georgia assisted with the launch of Devonshires new Sustainability and Decarbonisation team and represented Devonshires at the Retrofit Challenge Summit (March 2022).

Also during her time with our Construction team, Georgia assisted with a transfer of engagements for a large, well known RP involving the preparation and completion of hundreds of deed of novations with various contractors.

In her current seat with the Housing Management department, Georgia regularly advises clients on settlement negotiations pertaining to data breaches.
