Luke is a Senior Associate in our Banking, Governance and Corporate team.


Before qualifying into the Banking team in October 2017, Luke previously worked as a Paralegal in the Property Securitisation department at Devonshires, where he assisted Solicitors and Partners getting properties ready for charging. He then moved to the Housing Management team in May 2014 where he assisted with all aspects of litigation including possession claims, anti-social behaviour injunctions and policy and tenancy advice before starting his training contract in September 2015.


Luke graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2009 with a 2:1 in History.

Luke has also completed the GDL (the University of Hertfordshire) and LPC (the College of Law) with commendation.

Notable Cases

Luke assisted Hexagon Housing Association with the issue of their £250m sustainability bonds. Luke’s role in this transaction included negotiating transaction documents, drafting disclosures and working closely with the client and our Property team to tie together the completion of the Banking and Property elements.

Luke assisted Housing Solutions with their refinancing, which included the issue of notes through a private placement, a new facility agreement and the renegotiation of an existing loan. Luke’s role was to draft the private placement documentation, negotiate the new and refinanced loan documents and co-ordinate with other solicitors and financial advisors to ensure the smooth running of the transaction.

Luke was part of the wider Banking team that worked on the amalgamation of Optivo and Southern Housing Group to form Southern Housing. Luke’s role was to negotiate the consent documentation and to negotiate, draft and assist with the refinancing and restructuring of the existing loans of both original entities.
