Areas of Expertise

Matt is a Trainee Solicitor in Banking, Governance & Corporate. Matt recently completed his first seat in Housing Management & Property Litigation where he assisted with various Disrepair claims, Injunction applications and wider leasehold matters.

Experience

Matt has worked at Guildford’s Legal Advice Centre and gained work experience in both Law Firms and The Bar before joining Devonshires.

Conferences

Matt has co-led a talk to students undertaking work experience from Sutton Trust as part of our support for their Pathways to Law programme, where he offered advice for those considering a career in law.

Education

Matt graduated from the University of Exeter with BSc (Hons) in Geography.

Matt attended the University of Law for his PGDL and SQE studies.

Personal

Matt volunteers as a weeklong carer at his former school to help children with disabilities like cerebral palsy, down’s syndrome and autism to have an amazing residential holiday.

Matt has recently taken part in the Together for Homes 5 Kilometre run, where colleagues from Devonshires and senior leaders in the Housing sector united to raise money for Crisis homeless charity. Matt is now working towards running a marathon for charity.

Matt has conducted pro-bono work at Guildford’s Legal Advice Centre and captained his local cricket team.
