Areas of Expertise
Natalie advises on all aspects of employment law with a varied caseload including contentious and non-contentious matters.
Natalie’s experience working for both employee and employer clients allows her to provide commercial, practical advice for her clients on a variety of employment law issues including claims in the Employment Tribunal for disputes relating to unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, claims under the Equality Act 2010 and claims for breach of Flexible Working Regulations and has experience at all stages of the Tribunal process. As well as advising and progressing claims in the Employment Tribunal, Natalie advises and provides guidance on disputes in the workplace including grievance and disciplinary processes and appeals.
In addition to her experience with contentious matters, Natalie has experience with non-contentious matters including reviewing and preparing contractual documents and policies, advising advises on contracts and restrictive covenants, drafting and advising on settlement agreements and any settlement negotiations, as well as providing advice on employment matters and HR issues generally.
Experience
Natalie worked at Devonshires between 2015-2021 as a Paralegal in the Real Estate and Projects team before leaving to pursue her training at a Legal 500 ranked regional firm close to her home in Essex. As part of her training, Natalie worked in the employment team on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters which motivated her to focus her specialism on this area of expertise.
Upon qualification as a Solicitor, Natalie worked at an employment law specialist firm in Essex gaining valuable experience from a reputable firm. Her practice included a working with employee and employer clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters in addition to providing general employment advice to both employees and employers.
Natalie is returning to Devonshires as a Solicitor in the employment team.
Education
Natalie graduated from the University of Winchester before completing her LPC at the University of Westminster.
