Rosemary is a Solicitor in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. Rosemary qualified into the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team as a Solicitor in October 2024, having trained at the firm. Rosemary primarily specialises in Insolvency disputes. She has wide-ranging experience in pursuing, defending and resolving claims across both corporate and personal insolvency matters. Rosemary acts for Insolvency Practitioners, lenders, companies, social housing providers and private individuals.

Experience

Prior to joining Devonshires, Rosemary worked as a Paralegal in financial services disputes and investigations at an international firm.

Rosemary regularly publishes insights on Devonshires’ website on a range of legal topics connected with insolvency and restructuring and commercial litigation.

Education

Rosemary achieved First Class Honours in her LLB from SOAS, University of London. Rosemary also holds a Distinction in her Master of Laws (where she specialised in Human Rights Law) from University College London and a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course from BPP University London.

Personal

Outside Devonshires Rosemary has interests in sport and fitness. She previously practised figure skating at a competitive level and holds Skate UK and National Ice Skating Association qualifications.

Notable Cases

Acted in a range of asset recovery proceedings arising from Solicitors Regulation Authority interventions, including the interventions into Axiom Ince Limited & Kingly Solicitors.

Acted for Liquidators on fraud-related proceedings, including a VAT fraud dispute.

Acted on a claim for a Fixed Charge Receiver and company in liquidation in possession proceedings related to secured lending with success at trial in defending a counter claim of “sham” and obtaining an order for possession, together with an order for indemnity costs against the borrower.

Assisted on a matter advising a lease-based supported housing provider on successful entry into a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
