Philip has experience working with major plc house builders as well as mid-sized developers and entrepreneurs on a variety of development projects ranging from sites with a capacity for hundreds of dwellings, to smaller schemes of less than 10 dwellings.

Education

Philip graduated from the University of Kent with a first class law degree in 2011, which included a year’s study at the University of Turku, Finland.

Notable Cases

Philip advised on the redevelopment of a local football stadium for residential purposes and the construction of a replacement sports facility nearby. The project involved the extensive negotiation of development obligations and step-in rights to ensure a quick and seamless transition from the old stadium to the new ground prior to the residential development taking place.

Philip recently advised a developer on a large mixed use development project, advising on the negotiation of planning agreements, the acquisition and sub-sale of part of the development site and the taking of strategic options over adjoining land.

Philip has advised on the transfer of affordable housing units on development sites to registered providers, negotiating golden brick contracts and estate management agreements.
