Karandeep Bassi
Areas of expertise
Karandeep specialises in commercial property, housing development and regeneration work, with particular experience acting for developers, major housebuilders, registered providers and social housing clients. She advises on acquisitions and disposals of land, affordable housing transfers, overage arrangements, infrastructure agreements, deeds of covenant, deeds of release, deeds of easement, restrictive covenant matters and complex title issues.
Experience
Karandeep joined Devonshires from Higgs LLP, where she was a Senior Associate in the Commercial Property Department. Prior to that, she spent over ten years at Gowling WLG in the Housing Development and Regeneration Team, acting on a wide range of residential development, land acquisition and disposal matters.

Personal
Karandeep is actively involved in community and charitable initiatives. She has volunteered with Smile, a children’s charity, fundraised for Bliss and UK Fostering, volunteered regularly at the Sikh Soup Kitchen and served as Chair of the PTA at her children’s school. She has also mentored students and junior members of the profession, including supporting interview preparation and training contract applications. Outside work, Karandeep enjoys going to the gym, organising social gatherings and charitable events, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, shopping and travelling to experience different cultures.
