Areas of Expertise

Tom advises on all aspects of construction and engineering. He represents a wide range of clients including social housing providers, contractors, sub-contractors, private clients and consultants.

Tom acts on both contentious and non-contentious matters, representing clients in adjudication, arbitration, mediation and in the Technology & Construction Court; whilst also drafting and advising on various forms of contract and transactional matters.

Tom’s particular focus has been advising on building safety disputes. He advises on large property portfolios for a number G15 members, dealing with both claims against contractors/developers and at the same time drafting/negotiating remedial works and settlement agreements.

Experience

Prior to Devonshires, Tom worked for a construction and commercial property law firm in Leeds where he advised on contentious and non-contentious construction related matters, as well as commercial property matters.

Education

Tom worked as a paralegal before completing his Graduate Diploma in Law and the LPC in 2014.
