Matthew advises on a broad range of commercial disputes for a range of clients including private companies, regulatory bodies, local authorities, high net-worth individuals, charitable trusts and Registered Providers.
Matthew has experience in virtually all forms of commercial dispute resolution and has advised clients in criminal matters, including both police matters and HSE prosecutions, and assisted in fraud investigations and contract advisory work. He has worked on cases worth £3,000 to €2 billion.
Prior to joining Devonshires Solicitors Matthew read law at the University of Sheffield and took the LPC, his post graduate law qualification, at Sheffield Law School.
Matthew is a classic car enthusiast and spends most of his spare time fettling with his 1967 MGB Roadster.
Matthew has acted in investigations in Northern Ireland including enquiries by the Historical Enquiries Team, Legacy Branch of the PSNI and Bloody Sunday and other cases involving claims against the military.
Matthew has acted on a range of PFI disputes.
Matthew has been responsible for rates recoveries of £3,000 - £375,000.
Matthew has also worked on commercial claims from £10,000-€2 billion.
Matthew also works on internal fraud investigation and regulatory cases.
