Marie advises on a broad range of disputes including contractual claims, shareholder and director disputes, partnership disputes, insolvency claims, fraud and asset recovery. Prior to joining Devonshires, Marie undertook contested probate work including high value and multi-jurisdictional trust disputes, claims under the Inheritance Act and testamentary capacity claims.

Marie has experience in a range of Alternative Dispute Resolution methods including arbitrations, mediations and early neutral evaluations.


Prior to her legal career, Marie worked in data analytics and brand consulting within the Kantar Group.

Notable Cases

Currently acting on behalf of a property investment company in a £multi-million arbitration relating to breaches of a shareholder agreement.

Marie has trial experience, having successfully defended an executor of an estate against a claim by a beneficiary for misappropriation of assets and an account and inquiry.

Marie successfully negotiated a settlement of a dental practice partnership dispute involving matters of employment law, data protection, General Dental Council regulations, and division of assets. Marie issued and settled proceedings in respect of a restrictive covenant issue.

Marie successfully settled court proceedings on behalf of an executor for Will rectification, reasonable financial provision under the Inheritance Act and negligence against a Will Writer.
