Shamila is a Solicitor in the Banking, Governance and Corporate team.
Shamila advises on a wide range of commercial matters for non-profit bodies includes charities, registered providers, housing associations and private sector businesses.
Her advice covers an array of commercial contracts such as technology, NDA & Confidentiality agreements, supplier contracts, MoU as well as charity related contracts; developing scholarship agreements, sponsorship agreements and delivery partner T&Cs.
Shamila is also part of our cross-departmental Information Team who advises on data protection and freedom of information issues.
Shamila has extensive experience in local government and public procurement law. Prior to joining Devonshires, Shamila completed her training contract in-house at a shared legal services in the East Midlands and Central Bedfordshire local authorities. She qualified and worked at another local authority as well as working in-house at DHL NHS Supply Chain.

Shamila enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and running. She also enjoys travelling and listening to audiobooks.
Shamila has a keen interest in volunteering and participating in fundraising initiatives and has taken part in “sleep out”, 10km runs, Macmillan coffee mornings and most recently did a 10 mile walk raising vital funds for Demelza Hospice.
