Areas of Expertise

Josie is a Solicitor in our non-contentious Construction team and has acted for a wide range of clients including retailers, landlords, funders, developers/investors and NHS Trusts.

Josie has experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on bespoke and standard form building contracts, framework agreements, facilities management contracts, letters of intent, professional appointments and collateral warranties as well as preparing due diligence reports on large scale commercial and re-financing transactions.


Prior to joining Devonshires, Josie has worked in the construction teams at Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP, Clarke Willmott LLP and Capsticks LLP.

Josie originally qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and was a senior defendant insurance litigator for over 10 years prior to re-training in construction law.

Josie enjoys cooking, travelling, eating out, scuba diving, sailing and going to live comedy shows. She is also trying to learn the Korean language as she is a huge fan of K-drama and hopes to watch them without subtitles one day!

Acted for an NHS body in connection with a multi-million capital grant funding under the Estates and Technology Transformation Fund for the redevelopment of general practitioner facilities.

Acted for a London based NHS Trust on the construction contracts required for various capital projects and refurbishment schemes.
